What is this Rating?

Rating agencies are independent, third-party organizations that use a combination of technical, policy, and regulatory expertise to evaluate the quality of a carbon project. Their ratings (or grades) indicate their level of confidence that a particular project meets high standards for durability, additionality, and verifiability, among other important project attributes and risks. Overall, a high rating indicates that the project is very likely to achieve its carbon reductions.

A ‘Good’ rating means Renoster has Medium High Confidence that the carbon credit reliably represents a unique and permanent metric ton of emissions reduction or removal. Renoster offers in-depth ratings of nature-based offset projects, using the scale: Excellent, Good, Neutral, Suspect, Poor.
