Durability ensures that the carbon removed or avoided by a project remains out of the atmosphere for many years. Some projects lock away carbon for hundreds to thousands of years, storing it safely deep underground—like Charm Industrial Bio-oil, featured on our website. Other projects, for instance those that plant trees, are durable but may face risks from wildfire or other natural disasters, depending on the local climate or management practices.  ZeroMe only offers projects that demonstrate long-term, durable carbon removal or avoidance as verified by third-party science-based rating agencies like BeZero, Calyx Global, Renoster, and Sylvera.
